Companies now have an easy way to demonstrate commitment to global health with the launch of MASSIVEGOOD’s corporate program, which lets them integrate a simple donation solution into corporate travel systems. MASSIVEGOOD Corporate was launched at the annual conference of the Global Business Coalition for HIV/AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis (GBC) in Washington, DC on June 7-8.

Participants were urged to join by John Tedstrom, GBC’s CEO and President Bill Clinton, who addressed the conference in a recorded video message. 

"Increasingly companies are finding that investing in global health is good for communities and for business," President Clinton said in his message. "A good example of is this is the recently announced program MASSIVEGOOD."

At the Monday plenary session of the GBC conference, Marathon Oil announced that it was becoming MASSIVEGOOD corporate first client and offered a donation of $50,000 – that’s 2$ for the next 25,000 business trips of their employees (roughly one year of travel for Marathon Oil).

During our special MASSIVEGOOD session the next day, The Millennium Foundation was praised for having already united the travel industry behind its MASSIVEGOOD leisure travel program. Participants pointed out that the main three Global Distribution partners are responsible for the large majority of travel reservations in the world. MASSIVEGOOD corporate will take this private-public partnership even further – by bringing in private companies of all stripes to our movement.

This MASSIVEGOOD session on Tuesday was early, yet those brave enough to attend the 7:45 am session were not disappointed. Speakers Charles Petruccelli, President, Global Travel Services, American Express; Kay Urban, President and CEO, Amadeus North America; Chris Kroeger, President, GetThere; SVP, Sabre Travel Network; Kelly Kuhn, President, Military & Government Markets, Carlson Wagonlit Travel; and Andreas Krugmann, Manager Business Travel Industry, Mondial Assistance and Millennium Foundation Managing Director Bernard Salomé told the audience why and how the travel industry supports MASSIVEGOOD.
